Very seldom in my early years as a solo artist did I get many chance to have a band back me up. Before my set in the park that day, I was approached by the members of a local band called Christopher, asking me if they could back me up on She's Gone To Find America. What made it work so well, was that they just happen to be following me, so I said "yea let's do it."
When my acoustic set ended, one of the guitar players for the band The Logan Brothers allowed me to borrow his white Fender Strat and his Vox Super Beatle Deluxe amp. All plugged in and nervous as hell off we went. It's hard for me to relay the chord changes and stay focused on the songs temp, but lucky for me the band picked them up quickly. I was glad that we were loud enough to overtake all of the flubs, but after listening to this extreme low-fi recording, I was quite pleased with the out come. As the song progresses there are two places where the crowd coming up to and on the stage knocked over the recording microphones. What makes that day special, hell they put them back up. After transferring the analog tape to digital, all that was needed to do was a little eq here and a little volume there and okay that's the best one can hope for.
What a day, what a fun time was had by all. God has blessed us all, RIP JB.

jc story-teller was the original performing name for Jim Curnutte. It was later dropped in 1979 for Assassin of Silence. After two successful released LP's. In 1981 Jim Curnutte decided to drop all the handles and go strictly under his name. Thus came the album (factorial). Many more Jim Curnutte albums coming.
