Strip Mining Disasters (1972)

about

This version was recorded in Kansas City during the fall of 1972. It could have been called Majestic Hills, but on the tape box it said Strip Mining Disasters. Sometime between the June 1972 Ritter Park concert and moving to Kansas City that fall, the title was changed to Strip Mining Disasters. The two track recording was made at a friends house who was helping me put together an audition tape to send to several major record label A&R departments.

jc story-teller was the original performing name for Jim Curnutte. It was later dropped in 1979 for Assassin of Silence. After two successful released LP's. In 1981 Jim Curnutte decided to drop all the handles and go strictly under his name. Thus came the album (factorial). Many more Jim Curnutte albums coming.
